20 September 2026 – Race Against Cancer

On 20 September 2026, our NUS Staff Runners team participated again in the Race Against Cancer at East Coast Park.

I was a dry morning with mostly cloudy skies. As such, the conditions were much better than the previous year when for the second half of the race, the sun was out and it was very hot.

We had 17 runners participating in the 10 and 15 km categories, and our runners did well, with some great results.

In the 15k category, Wei Siang stayed below 1 hour and came fourth overall. Olivier also did amazingly well and finished 14th in 1:07:17.

Over 10k, we had three runners in the top 20 overall, Alvin (8th), Sangit (9th), and Johnson (15th). And Anton came 21st.

Also over 10k, Daryle showed a great performance in his first ever race, maintaining his pace throughout. Roland came close to his PB, and Meijun ran an impressive negative split.

So all in all, it was a good day for NUS Staff Runners!

14 February 2026 – Wings Cross Country Championships 2026

This Saturday, our staff running group saw two teams, our Men’s Open and Men’s Masters teams, compete in the Wings Cross Country Championships 2026 at Bedok Reservoir. For our runners, it was a great experience to compete with the running elite in Singapore. Unexpectedly, despite competing against the best clubs in Singapore, our Masters team even won the Bronze medal, which made it an even more memorable event!
